Precautions for the Beginning of the First Semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year (For instructors)
According to the " COVID-19-related instructions from The Ministry of Education", here are the basic principles on how higher education institutions should adjust the teaching methods in response to epidemic prevention :

1. The classes will be offered face-to-face in the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Students who receive a home quarantine notice should upload an image of the notice and apply online for the “Epidemic Prevention Leave” in the school system. Instructors have flexibility in teaching methods or make-up procedures.

2. In the beginning of the class, instructors must make an announcement in the Tron class online platform to clarify their alternative teaching methods and/or make-up procedures for those who need the “Epidemic Prevention Leave”. Please also specify the instructor's contact information in the course syllabus.

3. If instructors themselves need to do home quarantine or become confirmed cases, they need to:
   (a) Announce how to do make-up courses in Tron class;
   (b) Apply for course adjustments in the school administration system
   (c) Follow regulations to take a leave.

4. If students are unable to take a quiz/an exam due to their epidemic prevention needs, the instructor will have the freedom to decide on the make-up procedures.

5. Please try to keep students sit on the same spot every time. The will help us to track on the influence of the confirmed cases. Instructors, please also make sure the roll call is done properly. If there’s difficulty keeping students sitting in the same places, please at least take a photo of the class every time and keep those images.

6. Plus, please make sure everyone in the classroom wears a facial mask all the time. Open some windows or doors to keep the air flow. It is recommended that all the windows should be left open with a 10-cm-ish gap.

7. Further updates will be informed when we receive them from the Ministry of Education or the Central Epidemic Command Center.
